Cookie Settings

This page explains how Autsos uses cookies and similar technologies (pixels, local storage, SDK identifiers) and how you can control them. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site recognise your device, remember preferences, and measure usage. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, tracking pixels, and mobile advertising identifiers.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function security, load balancing, and remembering your consent choices. Under the ePrivacy Directive, UK PECR, and comparable laws (including Kenya’s Data Protection (General) Regulations, 2021), these do not require consent.

Analytics

Help us understand how visitors use the site pages viewed, time on page, referring sources so we can improve content and performance. Set only with consent where required.

Advertising

Advertising cookies are set by Google AdSense and its partners to display and measure advertising. Set only with consent where required (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions with equivalent consent requirements, including Brazil under the LGPD). Where consent is not required, advertising cookies may be set on the basis of our legitimate interests, and you can opt out of personalised advertising as described in Section 5.

We do not use cookies to sell your personal data for money.

4. Your consent

Where required by law including the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, and other jurisdictions with equivalent rules — we present a consent banner before setting non-essential cookies. The banner offers Accept all and Reject all choices, and we use Google’s Consent Mode to signal your choice to Google in advance. When you reject, no analytics or advertising cookies are set, and non-personalised advertising may still be shown.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies or site data for this domain and reloading the page this removes your stored preference and shows the consent banner again. Your choice is stored for up to 30 days, after which the banner is shown again. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

We do not currently respond to the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

5. Opting out of personalised advertising

Opting out of personalised advertising does not stop ads from appearing it means the ads shown are less tailored to your interests.

6. Browser and device controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and mobile operating systems let you reset or limit ad-tracking identifiers. Private/incognito browsing limits cookie persistence within a session. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break site functionality, including consent management and security features.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, as no common industry standard has been adopted for them. We also do not currently respond to the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal; you can exercise the equivalent opt-out using the controls described in Sections 4 and 5.

8. Changes

We may update this page to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision; the previous version’s date is noted alongside it.
